Had a bad cough for several days and went in to get checked. Made an appointment for a specific time and checked in online, only to wait over 30 minutes in the front office area. I then waited several minutes for vitals to be taken, then 45 minutes to be seen by a doctor. Medication was prescribed, but not available onsite which required me to go to a pharmacy nearby.

Everything about this clinic is great, except the wait time. I am not talking about scheduling and check in. With nobody in waitlist ahead of us, we are prepared to be there 1:45 to 2:00 hrs. This is the third time it happens now. We still come back because they are great but it does take a long time.

Everything was great, the wait was a little longer than usual. It is expected during this season. This is the only place I use for urgent care matters when the primary pediatric office is closed. Great service.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

In Rosenberg, TX, individuals who should consider getting tested for hepatitis include those who have been exposed to the virus through unprotected sex, shared needles, or unsanitary medical equipment. People with a history of liver disease, or those who have traveled to countries where hepatitis is prevalent, should also consider testing. According to the CDC, individuals born between 1945 and 1965, often referred to as the baby boomer generation, are also at a higher risk and should be tested for hepatitis C.

Importance of getting tested

Detecting hepatitis early is crucial for effective treatment and preventing further spread of the virus. Hepatitis can lead to serious health complications, including liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until these serious complications occur, making regular testing important for at-risk individuals. By getting tested, individuals can take steps to protect their health and the health of others.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits allow individuals to collect a sample at home and send it to a lab for testing. Results are typically available online within a few days.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Rosenberg

In Rosenberg, TX, and the wider Fort Bend County, hepatitis is a significant public health issue. According to the CDC, the prevalence of hepatitis in this region is higher than the national average. Risk factors for hepatitis in Rosenberg include unprotected sex, intravenous drug use, and having a tattoo or piercing done with unsterilized equipment. Additionally, individuals living in close quarters with someone who has hepatitis, or those who were born to a mother with hepatitis, are at a higher risk.
