I scheduled an appointment but wasnโ€™t seen until 45 minutes later the nurse and front desk people were very kind and helpful, but the doctor seemed like he was in a rush and didnโ€™t have time for my questions. Everyone working there was very helpful and had a positive attitude, but it was upsetting that I scheduled an appointment and wasnโ€™t seen for so long

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is at risk for hepatitis should get tested. This includes individuals who have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with hepatitis, people who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, men who have sex with men, and individuals who have had unprotected sex with multiple partners. Additionally, healthcare and public safety workers who have been exposed to blood on the job, and individuals who have received tattoos or piercings in non-professional settings should also consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is important for several reasons. Firstly, many people with hepatitis do not exhibit symptoms until the disease has progressed, making it possible to spread the virus unknowingly. Secondly, early detection allows for prompt treatment, which can prevent or reduce the risk of liver damage. Lastly, knowing your status can help protect others by taking steps to prevent transmission.
