Didn’t have an appointment. We walked in. Typical paperwork in any US medical facility. Took longer than usual to get us us in because there was a change of staff going on. Took a bit longer than expected for the doctor to see us. But she was phenomenal!  Went out of her way to work on getting us an appointment with a specialist. I would definitely go here again is needed. Facility was very clean and awesome. Staff is very friendly and communicative.

Everything was great!!! The nurse practitioner was fabulous. The only suggestion is that you need to get all of your staff registered with public aid.  Unfortunately the prescriptions cost 100.00.  This is the 2 nd provider that was not registered!! Again facility and Dr were fabulous!!!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood, body fluids, or needles that may be contaminated should get tested for hepatitis. This includes those who have had unprotected sex, shared needles for drug use, or had a blood transfusion before 1992. Additionally, people who were born to a mother with hepatitis, or who live with someone who has hepatitis, should also be tested. Healthcare workers and those who travel to countries with high rates of hepatitis are also at risk.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, including liver disease and cancer. Early detection allows for effective treatment and can prevent the spread of the disease to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not know they have it until they experience symptoms, which can take years to appear. Therefore, regular testing is important for those at risk.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Lombard

While specific data for Lombard is not readily available, DuPage County, where Lombard is located, has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases in recent years, according to the CDC. This trend mirrors the national increase in hepatitis cases. Factors contributing to this increase may include increased drug use and unprotected sex.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Lombard

Risk factors for hepatitis in Lombard are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include drug use, unprotected sex, and exposure to contaminated blood or body fluids. Additionally, those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis are at increased risk.

Other STDs in Lombard

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Lombard and DuPage County.
